In this series we will work our way through Matthew, exploring his multi-faceted portrait of Jesus. He appears as the Messiah of Israel, the king who will rule and save the world. He is presented as a teacher greater than even Moses, the one who announces the arrival of God’s kingdom. And of course he is declared to be the Son of God who gives his life and is raised for us all. Matthew lays it all out step by step and invites us to hear the challenging call of Jesus’ gospel message and the new way of life that results.
